Envisioning the Future
In an extraordinary all day meeting on October 20th, the faculty and administration met to hear from three long standing committees and to hear recommendations regarding the direction the College should move. Three presentations were made: Instructor Nega Megersa on Curriculum Revision; Academic Dean, Gishu Jebecha on the Amharic BA in Bible and Christian Ministry program; and Instructor, Amdetsion Woldeyes on the proposed MA in Theology program.
Their findings were based on a two-year study, interviewing different groups and individuals, business firms, church leaders, students, graduates, and instructors, etc. They kept in mind the mission, vision, and purpose of the College as well as the needs of the constituency as they evaluated and brought their proposals.
After much discussion and evaluation, a consensus was reached that the College Administration make a clear plan and take steps to implement the recommendations to: (1) revise our curriculum, (2) pursue the Amharic BA in Bible and Christian Ministries program, and (3) develop an MA in Theology program.
