Academics
The College currently offers three programs:
1. A four-year Baccalaureate Degree in Bible and Christian Ministries using the English medium for instruction.
2. A four-year Baccalaureate Degree in Bible and Christian Ministries using the Amharic medium for instruction.
3. A Distance Education program offering diploma level instruction in Bible and Christian Ministry in the Amharic language.
Admission Requirements
The main purpose of Meserete Kristos College is to train men and women who will serve the Lord Jesus Christ and bring glory to God. Admission to its programs is open to Christians of any denomination. The school insists upon the following requirements for admission:
Diploma Program in Bible and Christian Ministry in Distance Education Program
- Church recommendation
- A certified copy of
- An Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE), Grade 10 or 12 and transcript and their score ought to be 1.8 and above
- A completed recommendation form from his/her Church giving sufficient confirmation about the candidate’s faith in Christ, relations with his/her fellow Christians, and role in serving Christ.
- Mature age entry might be granted to those who are above 35 years of age and who display maturity in life and experience.
Degree Program in Bible and Christian Ministry in Regular Program taught in English:
A minimum of five years of service in his/her Church;
- A certified copy of an ESLCE and transcript with a minimum Grade of “C” in English and Mathematics and an overall score of 2.00 or above;
- A completed recommendation
- from his/her Church giving sufficient confirmation about the candidate’s faith in Christ, relations with his/her fellow Christians, and role in serving Christ.
- From 3 persons who know the applicant’s character well.
- Mature age entry might be granted to those who are above 35 years of age and who display maturity in life and experience.
Degree Program in Bible and Christian Ministry in Regular and Extension Program taught in Amharic and English:
A minimum of five years of service in his/her Church;
- A certified copy of an Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE) and transcript with a minimum Grade of “C” in English and Mathematics and an overall score of 2.00 or above;
- A Church recommendation
- from his/her Church giving sufficient confirmation about the candidate’s faith in Christ, relations with his/her fellow Christians, and role in serving Christ.
- Mature age entry might be granted to those who are above 35 years of age and who display maturity in life and experience.
Admission Procedures
Application date:
MK College will have intake students every year from July 1- August 15. A candidate for the above mentioned programs must send the application form for admission to:
